Occupancy permit

Officially, without an occupancy permit, you cannot take possession of the building, which means, you cannot announce yourself to the address, the bank won’t pay the loan, etc. The exact definition: this document certifies that the building can be used as intended and is safety. Despite this, many people postpone the request for an occupancy permit, which can be done without punishment only as long as you have a valid construction permit for the building. After this, only a retention permit can be requested, but it will be sanctioned by a fine.

There is a problem with obtaining an occupancy permit, if not the same building have been built, what the licensing was given for. The revised licensing plans must be submitted before the changes have been made. If the change does not require a license, than a realization plan might be enough to certify the real situation, but in case of major differences from the licensing plans, you can only trust in the retention permit.

The procedures which require permission, can be found in the Decree No. 37/2007, and the building matters’ regulations in the Decree No. 193/2009.

n a simple case, the occupancy permit doesn’t require any plans, only the following documents:

  • certificate from public utility providers
  • certificate from the chimney sweeper company, that the flue-gas outlets satisfy the requirements of professionalism
  • statistical data sheet
  • statement from the responsible technical manager

Within thirty days receiving the occupancy permit, the client must the required administration form about the construction waste submit to the environmental authorities.
