What does a construction engineering supervisor do?

The authorized representative of the builder on the field of construction. The most important duty of the supervisor is to help and make sure that the measures, the magisterial regulations, the standards, the contracts and the construction documentation have been observed.

When we must charge a construction engineering supervisor?

Due to the regulation, operative from 01/01/2008 - supplemented from 09/01/2008 - it is mandatory to charge a construction engineering supervisor, if the construction have to be licensed and/or

a) the construction is performed by multiple contractors,

b) the construction project belongs to the public procurement law,

c) the construction project is a priority in the aspect of the national economy,

d) the construction affects a monument.

Why do we recommend technical supervision?

Construction is not routine work, naturally for many don't have practise in it. At the same time, the costs are high and it is hard to make the right decisions. The general builder can feel a little lost because of this. It is a warrant for them, to hire a contruction engineering supervisor.

As a construction company we cope with construction engineering supervisors also. On this occasion we experienced what it means to be on the contractor side with the observation of a supervisor. We have met three types of supervisor. One of them set back the work with the constant niggling, the other visited the construction for a fee but without a word, his attendance was completely eventless and useless. On the other hand we met some extremely helpful supervisors whose work made the construction smooth and seamless.
