Press-house remodeling in Alcsútdoboz

The roof remained but the walls were changed...

The press-house did not have a foundation or a water insulation at all, the walls were made of stones and mud like the old castles. The roof was in a relatively good condition, so we decided to keep it and strut the roof, remove-rebuild the walls. We kept and replaced the old windows and doors because in a press-house the big amount of heat-loss is not a problem. We used Porotherm 38 bricks for the new walls and 2 layers of modified bitumen sheet for the water insulation.
